Hey There, I’m Kirk!
I believe wedding photos and videos should be inherently beautiful. My heart is drawn to soft, romantic imagery bathed in natural light — timeless rather than harsh or moody. Coming from education in photo-journalism and broadcasting shooting film. I’m truly honored to document such a pivotal chapter of your lives.
My goal is to capture more than just photos — I want to capture the feeling of your day: the nervous excitement and the beautiful joining of two families.
My process leans toward a bright and airy aesthetic. I prioritize natural light and true-to-life colors so your images feel crisp, classic, and authentic. Transparency matters to me — your wedding memories are precious, and I want our visions to align perfectly.

1. The Preparation
There is something electric in the air while you’re getting ready. I love to capture the quiet, tactile moments—your mom, sister, or best friend’s hands helping button your dress, adjusting your veil, or straightening your necklace. That nervous excitement in the air shared with your favorite people is palpable, and I'm here for it!
2. Ten Minutes After the Ceremony
Right after your guests head to cocktail hour and it’s finally just the two of you basking in the fact that you did it! This is one of my favorite things to witness and photograph. The biggest part of the day you've planned forever is behind you. The nerves have settled, and you're now alone as husband as wife. That relief and joy translate beautifully to photo and video. I love capturing you sneaking a sweet, romantic moment before it's time to party!
3. The Golden Hour Sneak-Away
Just as the sun starts to dip (if the weather and clouds are cooperating) we’ll sneak away for ten minutes of that dreamy, honey-colored light. It’s a chance for you to catch your breath, look at each other away from the crowd, and get those glowing, romantic portraits that feel like they’re straight out of a movie.
My Style
I appreciate the importance of a "moment", versus a pose. While poses can be great, and I'll of course guide you through some... The spontaneous, organic, genuine, and unforced real moments are the most moving. I love to catch couples and their closest loved ones being themselves. People feel more free to be themselves, when you're not in their face with a camera, go figure! For this reason, I try to be an unobtrusive "fly on the wall" as much as possible.

My goal on every wedding day is to make you feel relaxed and natural in front of the camera — so your images feel timeless and uniquely you. I photograph only one wedding at a time, and you’ll always work directly with me. No associates, no subcontracting, no surprises. What you see in my portfolio is exactly what you’ll receive.
My Story
My journey into photography started as a kid in my father’s darkroom, watching the magic of images appear on photo paper under the red glow of the safelight. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong fascination with capturing moments and telling stories through images. I got my first real taste of photography when my grandmother gifted me a Nikon camera, giving me the tools to experiment, learn, and develop my own style. That gift set me on a path of discovery that eventually led to buying my first SLR Film Camera in 2003. From there, I immersed myself in the technical and creative sides of photography—learning composition, lighting, and the art of capturing genuine moments. Today, I bring that same sense of wonder and attention to detail to every wedding I photograph and film. My goal is to create light and airy images and cinematic films that preserve authentic moments and tell each couple’s unique story.
Fun Fact
Being that I went to school for broadcasting and photojournalism- audio, video, and photography are all deep passions of mine. I also own Select Receptions, a local CNY DJ company. Though I have a staff of DJs, I still enjoy spinning to a packed dancefloor now and then, and have been a part of hundreds of weddings in one capacity or another over the last 15 years!
