1. What's your coverage area?
Based in Central New York, we cover several surrounding counties within approx. 1.5 hours of Syracuse, NY. However, we’re happy to travel beyond that for select events. If you're planning a wedding outside of our standard area, we may still be available with an additional travel charge. Just reach out and let us know the details—we’d love to chat and see if we’re a good fit for your location!
2. Do you offer a written contract?
Absolutely. Our contract outlines and establishes our every obligation to you and your event. If you'd like to view it prior to reserving your date, just let us know and we'll be glad to send you a copy.
3. Can we meet in person?
Sure! We're glad to meet in person. Sometimes distance and schedules make it difficult, so we're glad to have phone or Zoom meeting as well.
4. What is the payment schedule, can we pay in installments?
After paying a one time retainer to reserve the date of about 1/3 of your total, most clients pay their balance in monthly installments, which are automatically charged to a credit card. Alternatively, we can also accept check payments in thirds; ⅓ retainer, ⅓ halfway to your wedding date, and ⅓ just before your wedding.
5. Do you cover more than one wedding or event per day?
For most dates, we focus on just one. That said, since the Covid-19 pandemic forced so many couples to shift their dates due to governmental restrictions, we've made accommodations to cover more than one wedding per date, if necessary, but we do prefer to keep our sole focus on one event.
6. What makes you different from other Photographers and/or Filmmakers? *Also read Our Process
There are many competent and professional Wedding Photographers and Videographers in Central New York. All have their own strong points. We can simply tell you what we do and what our aim is; To document your biggest day with my own artistic style. We strive to keep a low-profile, capture all of the love and sincerity you exude as a couple, and capture some of those candid moments you may have missed, as the day flew by.
7. Have you worked at our ceremony or reception venue before?
Over the past 12+ years working in Syracuse area wedding industry, we've worked at most venues in CNY. That said, if we haven't been to yours, be assured we'll adequately prepare prior to your event by visiting the venue and/or speaking with the site contact and familiarizing ourselves with the floor plan. Every site poses different challenges – different load-in and security procedures, different room sizes and configurations, different acoustics etc. We'll always ensure familiarity to try to avoid any surprises on your wedding day.
8. When do you arrive for our event?
This largely depends on your package and coverage. We often arrive 1 hour+ before the scheduled start time, to capture establishing shots and venue details. If your coverage package includes getting ready and preparations, it could be significantly earlier.
9. How much would you charge for overtime?
Should you decide to extend to time of your event beyond your package coverage, or decide you need coverage at the very end (e.g. for a Sparkler Send-Off), our overtime rate is $200 per hour. If you suspect your event may go into overtime, just let us know and we'll plan accordingly.
10. What do you require from us?
The more we can get to know you, the better! Since planning a wedding is a hectic experience, we've created an online photography and videography planner for you to complete at your convenience. It takes about 15-20 minutes, and doesn't need to be completed all at once, but you're welcome to be as detailed as you wish. It will cover everything from questions about your vows, any ceremony readings, how many toasts are planned, as well as family details, like table #'s of all your favorite people. Before your big day we'll have a meeting (phone or in person) and go over all the details to ensure we understand your wishes and have your vision at the forefront.
11. How will my Wedding Video(s) be Delivered? *Also read Our Process
For wedding photography, we deliver your images in a beautiful, easy-to-use online gallery. You can view your photos on any device, download them in high resolution, and even share web-optimized versions- perfect for social media.
For wedding videography, we deliver your films digitally, and include access to a complimentary app. This app lets you watch your wedding film right on your smart TV or streaming device—just like Netflix or Hulu. You’ll have your very own wedding channel! You can also download full-resolution versions of your films directly to your computer for safe keeping and backup. In addition to the awesomeness of having everything on all your favorite devices, because our wedding photos and films are delivered digitally, our services are 100% Tax Free in NY State!
12. When will we receive our wedding photos or video?
For wedding photography collections, we deliver a sneak peek gallery within one week of your wedding—usually just a few days after the big day. The full gallery follows after that, depending on the season and our editing queue (typically a 3-4 weeks).
For wedding films, the average delivery time is around 10 weeks. Please note that during peak wedding season, turnaround times may vary slightly based on overall workload. That said, we always aim to deliver your memories as quickly and beautifully as possible!
13. Do you offer drone footage?
Yes! All of our wedding videography packages include drone footage at no extra cost. We love capturing those sweeping aerial shots that add a cinematic touch to your wedding film. Please note that drone usage is weather-dependent and subject to FAA flight restrictions in certain locations. But whenever conditions allow, we’re glad to include drone footage complimentary. It’s one of our favorite tools to help tell the full story of your day from a whole new perspective.
