Emma & Pearse’s Wedding at Watervale Ridge

Last year, I photographed their engagement session at Upper Onondaga Park, and it was great getting to hang out with them before the big day. 

 

Like a lot of couples, they started out a little camera-shy for the first twenty minutes or so. But once they shook off the nerves and just focused on each other, they completely relaxed. That’s when you could really see how in love they are. Watching them laugh and interact during that session made me excited for their wedding day to finally get here.

 

A Beautiful Church Ceremony

They tied the knot in a deeply meaningful church ceremony at the DeWitt community church, surrounded by the people who matter most to them. You could feel how much the moment meant to both of them—and to everyone there cheering them on. I love getting to spend time in church while working. It makes my job that much more meaningful and I often pray for my clients during their ceremony. 

 

Afterward, everyone headed over to Watervale Ridge in Manlius for the reception. 

 

Celebrating at Watervale Ridge

This was our second time photographing and filming a wedding at Watervale Ridge, and it’s quickly become one of our favorite spots. The property has gorgeous, sweeping views, and the bright, stately farmhouse makes an incredible backdrop for portraits. Plus, the weather completely showed off for us. 

 

After arriving, we spent some time walking the property with Emma, Pearse, and their crew. Between the late-afternoon light, the open views, and how relaxed everyone was, the portraits came together effortlessly.

 

The evening itself was everything a wedding should be: fun, laid-back, and full of heart. The toasts were an absolute highlight—full of laughs, a few happy tears, and great stories that showed just how loved these two are.

 

Having both photo and video coverage meant we could capture all of it, from the big milestone moments down to the candid, unscripted laughs happening out on the dance floor. Emma and Pearse were an absolute dream to work with, and I’m so blessed they trusted our team to document their story.
