Kea and John's June wedding at Hayloft on the Arch in Vernon Center, NY was one of the most unforgettable celebrations we have ever had the honor of capturing — filled with beauty, resilience, pure joy, and more than a few unexpected twists that made the day even more remarkable. As Hayloft on the Arch wedding photographers and videographers, we were blown away from start to finish.

The morning began with a severe storm that swept through the Oneida area, causing flooding in many nearby neighborhoods. Thankfully the venue itself was spared from flood damage — but Hayloft on the Arch lost power just as the wedding day was getting underway. Despite that significant curveball, the atmosphere stayed remarkably calm and positive, thanks in large part to Alicia, the venue manager, who handled everything with total professionalism and grace. She was the calm in the storm — literally. Her steady, unflappable presence behind the scenes kept everything moving forward without unnecessary stress, especially for Kea, who remained beautifully relaxed and joyful throughout the entire morning.

By the time the outdoor ceremony began, the heat and humidity were in full force and guests were fanning themselves under the summer sun. Then — almost as if on cue — halfway through the ceremony, the power kicked back on. The barn fans roared to life, cooling things down just in time for guests to move inside for the reception. It was a small miracle that arrived at exactly the right moment.

What happened inside the reception is something we will never forget. Kea and John are not only an incredible couple — they are both phenomenal singers. During the reception they performed a song together for their guests, and it was so genuinely beautiful that I simply could not bring myself to cut it short in the final film. I included the full performance as a musical interlude because it captured their spirit and connection more perfectly than anything else could have. It is one of the most unique and moving moments we have ever captured as Central New York wedding photographers and videographers.

Friends and family were present from near and far, but no matter where guests had traveled from, one thing was abundantly clear: this was a deeply family-centered celebration overflowing with love, laughter, and energy. Both families showed up with full hearts and full energy for the dance floor, and the Hayloft on the Arch barn was packed and buzzing with celebration from wall to wall all night long.

The vendor team for this day was absolutely exceptional — photographer Christina Bregou was a wonderful creative collaborator, Kea's brother Ronson provided beautiful music for the ceremony and dinner, and Rachel and Justin Camarillo coordinated and emceed the day to absolute perfection.
