Peace, Love, Joy and Grace, at the Antique Boat Museum

Jamie and Stephen’s wedding at the Antique Boat Museum in the Thousand Islands was nothing short of breathtaking and moving. It was a sincere honor to be a part of their day. They were such a kind couple to work with, and the more I edited their film—hanging on every word within not only their personal vows but also the heartfelt speeches from their closest loved ones—I realized there’s good reason they’re so deeply loved. As is their baby girl, Grace, who captured everyone’s attention. Every time she appeared—she really did steal the show.

We had the opportunity to work once again with Chelsi Healy of 1000 Islands Wedding & Event Planning, and as always, she did an incredible job. I couldn’t recommend someone more. The day flowed smoothly and right on schedule, thanks in large part to Chelsi’s expert coordination and professionalism.

Jamie and Stephen live in Massachusetts, making this a destination wedding of sorts, though Jamie is originally from the area. It was especially meaningful that her close friend Stephanie—who works with the Antique Boat Museum—officiated their ceremony on the porch overlooking the St. Lawrence River.

The day couldn’t have been more perfect: warm with a gentle breeze, the sound of water lapping nearby, and sunlight reflecting  in the harbor. Jamie and Stephen read their personal vows inside the boathouse, surrounded by antique vessels and the golden glow of the St. Lawrence.

Oftentimes, due to pacing, I’ll edit down a couple’s personal vows to just the most meaningful parts. However, Jamie and Stephen’s vows were so touching from beginning to end, it was hard not to tear up while editing their film. I kept their vows in their entirety—I have a feeling they’ll mean even more as the years go by.

Following the emotional ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails around the museum grounds before heading into the tent for dinner and dancing. The night flowed perfectly, and the dance floor was packed!

It was an honor to play a part in capturing Jamie and Stephen’s big day. I wish all of my couples had the kind of genuine connection these two share—it’s what makes my work truly rewarding.
