A day of love, at The Orchards at Rocking Horse Farm
Kristen and Tim are the kind of couple that make you stop and appreciate what real connection looks like. Their personalities compliment each other so well, and their similar senses of humor, and constant laughter, while sharing a hint of pre-wedding nerves, made it easy to capture their connection. They live in the Ithaca area, but their hearts fit right in at Rocking Horse Farm. Being animal lovers, the venues llamas and donkeys greeting guests and the venue’s rustic charm matched their personalities well.
The weather couldn’t have been better — clean sunlight, blue skies. Kristen prepared in the bridal suite with her mother, sister, grandmother- the people closest to her. The energy in that room wasn’t just excitement — it was love, support, and pride.
Throughout the day, it was clear how deeply Kristen and Tim are loved. You could see it in the way friends and family wrapped around them on the dance floor, how people leaned in when they spoke, and how much joy radiated whenever the two of them were together. Their connection is easy to feel, and honestly something I wish every couple had. It’s rare, natural, and unmistakable on camera. :-)
The reception turned into a full-on celebration. The DJ kept the crowd going, and the dance floor stayed hopping. And it was great working once again with photographer Kelsey Travis — talented, kind, and always a super positive presence on a wedding day.
In closing, it was an honor to be part of this day. Kristen and Tim make me grateful to do this work.
