Syracuse Green Lakes Park Engagement Photos

When couples look for a Syracuse engagement photographer, they often aim for the golden glow of summer or the vibrant fall foliage of Upstate New York. Many are reluctant to step out into the December chill, but Hannah and Richard’s session proved that there is an undeniable magic when the snowflakes begin to fall.

We met on a quiet, snowy afternoon at Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville. While the park is a local favorite year-round, the fresh winter dusting transformed it into an otherworldly backdrop for their engagement photos.

Living in a Snow Globe

Hannah and Richard braved the cold like they were born for it. Watching them together, you’d swear they lived in a snow globe. While the temperatures were freezing, the camera captured a much warmer story—one that is soft, romantic, and full of the kind of love that warms everything around it. As a wedding photographer, I always tell my clients that winter sessions strip away the distractions. There’s a unique intimacy found in the quiet of the woods and the soft flutter of snow that creates truly timeless engagement portraits.

From Snowflakes to Finger Lakes Vineyards

Beyond being total naturals in front of the lens, Hannah and Richard are an incredibly kind and genuine couple. Getting to know them as we wandered through the park made me even more excited for their wedding day.

We’ll be trading the snow boots for vineyard views this September! These two will be saying "I do" at Izzo’s White Barn Winery in Cayuga, NY. Tucked right into the heart of the Finger Lakes, it’s a stunning venue, and I can’t wait to be back in such a beautiful space to capture their wedding photos.

Hannah and Richard, thank you for being so adventurous and for letting me document this chapter of your story. September in the Finger Lakes can’t come soon enough!
