At Select Photo & Film, we know waiting for your wedding photos and films can feel long—but there’s a lot that goes into creating something truly special. We want to give you a transparent look at our process and why our turnaround times are what they are.

Wedding Films: Why They Take Time

Wedding films are a labor of love. From capturing the day to crafting a cinematic story, every wedding film goes through multiple stages: reviewing hours of footage, selecting the best moments, syncing audio, color grading, editing music and sound design, and fine-tuning transitions and pacing. On average, it takes about 2-4 weeks to fully produce a single wedding film.

Because we work sequentially—finishing one wedding before starting the next—there’s always a backlog. In fact, in the wedding industry nationwide, it’s common for turnaround times to extend up to six months or more. That said, our typical wedding film turnaround is around 10–12 weeks, allowing us to give every film the attention it deserves.

Wedding Photography: What’s Behind the Gallery Delivery

Photography galleries generally have a faster turnaround, but still require careful attention. After your wedding, we sort through thousands of images, perform professional editing, color correction, and quality checks to ensure every photo meets our standards. This process usually takes 6–8 weeks for gallery delivery.

Why There’s Always a Backlog

Every wedding we film or photograph is unique, and we give each the attention it deserves. That means there’s always a backlog, especially during the busy wedding season. Your patience ensures that the final product reflects the quality and care you expect—and that every couple receives a wedding film and gallery they’ll treasure for a lifetime.

We hope this helps you understand why our turnaround times are structured the way they are. Our goal is always to deliver your memories in the most beautiful, polished way possible—without cutting corners. :-)

As always, feel free to reach out with any questions!
