Sarah and Willie's wedding was one of the most elegant and deeply moving celebrations we have ever had the honor of capturing in Syracuse, NY. Spanning two of the city's most iconic venues — Hendricks Chapel at Syracuse University and the Syracuse Marriott Downtown — their day was a masterclass in romance, elegance, and genuine love.

The morning began with Sarah and Willie preparing separately in their respective suites at the Hotel Syracuse / Syracuse Marriott Downtown, each surrounded by some of their favorite people in the world. Before seeing each other, they exchanged cards they had privately written — and those cards stopped us in our tracks. Within those pages was their entire love story: from their high school courtship, to Sarah making the leap and moving to Tallahassee to be with her love, to their shared commitment to build a family together. It was the kind of love story you'd hear in a Sam Cooke song — timeless, classic, and deeply beautiful. That became the creative direction for their entire wedding film.

Watching Willie's face as the doors swung open and he saw Sarah for the first time — stunning in her gown, ready to be his wife — is a moment I will never forget. I'm not embarrassed to say I cried while editing it. I was given a glimpse into their past and a glimpse into their future, and I felt genuinely blessed to be trusted with capturing the day that turned the page on both.

The ceremony took place at the breathtaking Hendricks Chapel at Syracuse University — one of Central New York's most magnificent and historic wedding ceremony venues. With its soaring columns, stunning interior, and the weight of decades of Syracuse University history behind it, Hendricks Chapel elevates every wedding ceremony into something truly extraordinary. From the Chapel, the celebration moved to the Grand Ballroom of the Syracuse Marriott Downtown — and what a reception it was.
