Maria and Josh's Epic Wedding

Maria and Josh's wedding was one of those truly epic Syracuse days — spanning multiple iconic locations, filled with deep emotion, and overflowing with the kind of love that feels like it was genuinely meant to be.

The day began with preparations at Maria's parents' lake house in Canastota, NY and Maria and Josh's home in Cicero, NY. The morning started overcast and drizzly, but in what felt like a sign, the clouds parted and a gorgeous sunny day unfolded just in time for the ceremony — the kind of upstate New York autumn light that makes every photo and film frame absolutely glow.

 

At the always magnificent Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse, before God and their closest loved ones, Maria and Josh exchanged vows and were married by Father Neil. The Cathedral is one of the most breathtaking wedding ceremony venues in all of Central New York — soaring ceilings, stunning stained glass, and an atmosphere of reverence and beauty that elevates every moment. As Sky Armory wedding photographers and videographers, we've had the joy of filming many weddings that begin here, and it never gets old.​

 

After the ceremony, the wedding party made their way to Franklin Square in Syracuse — the very place where Maria and Josh's love story began and where they shared their very first date. It was a deeply personal and incredibly meaningful stop that added a layer of storytelling to their wedding day that money simply can't buy. From Franklin Square, the celebration moved to cocktails at the Palace Theater before culminating in a spectacular reception full of dancing at Sky Armory in downtown Syracuse.
