Amber and Chad's spring wedding at The Cannery in Vernon, New York was incredibly sweet, effortlessly romantic, and one of the most genuinely moving celebrations we have ever had the privilege of capturing. Their love for each other was visible in every glance, every laugh, and every quiet in-between moment — the kind of love that makes our job as The Cannery wedding photographers and videographers an absolute joy.

The Cannery in Vernon, NY is one of Central New York's most charming and beloved rustic wedding venues. The warm wood textures, elegant string lighting, and intimate atmosphere create a setting that feels tailor-made for romantic, heartfelt celebrations — and Amber and Chad's day fit that description perfectly. Though the morning started gray and slightly rainy, the energy inside never dimmed for a single moment.

Amber prepared in the beautiful on-site bridal suite while Chad got ready at a nearby hotel, and the ceremony took place right on the Cannery grounds, surrounded by close friends and family. As the rain cleared and the atmosphere began to glow with that soft, warm light that follows a spring shower, the setting became absolutely magical. The rustic elegance of The Cannery paired with that post-rain golden light made every photo and film frame stunning.

Then came one of the most unique and memorable moments we have ever experienced in all our years of Central New York wedding photography and videography — Chad had forgotten to bring his written vows. Rather than rushing through an imperfect moment, they made a beautiful decision: they would film their vows together a few weeks later. That session took place at Oneida Shores Park in Brewerton, NY, and what unfolded there became the emotional heart and soul of their entire wedding film. Without the nerves and distractions of the wedding day, what Amber and Chad shared in that quiet, unhurried moment was tender, funny, deeply felt, and absolutely real. I'll be honest — I cried while editing it. It reminded me exactly why I do what I do.

Back on the wedding day, once the rain cleared completely, the party at The Cannery kicked into full gear and the dance floor stayed packed all night long. We also had the pleasure of working alongside the talented Tom Harmon Photography — a wonderful wedding photographer who frequently travels back to Central New York and whose ability to capture emotion and movement made for a truly seamless collaboration.
