Amber & Chad's Rustic Spring Wedding was incredibly sweet, and effortlessly romantic. Their love for each other was obvious in every look, every laugh, and every quiet in-between moment.
Their wedding day took place at The Cannery in Vernon, New York, one of the area's most charming rustic wedding venues. Though the morning started out gray and slightly rainy, the energy never dimmed.
After Amber prepared in the bridal suite on-site, and Chad prepped at a nearby hotel, the ceremony took place on-site, surrounded by close friends and family. The rain soon stopped and the atmosphere was glowing. The rustic wood textures, string lights, and intimate ambiance of the venue made it a perfect fit for this romantic Upstate New York wedding.
Amber and Chad had written personal vows to each other, but Chad forgot to bring his. We decided we’d film their vows later. After a few weather delays, we finally met a couple weeks later at Oneida Shores Park in Brewerton, NY.
That session turned out to be one of the most powerful parts of their film. What they shared in that quiet moment gave me a deeper glimpse into their relationship—tender, funny, deeply felt, and absolutely real, without the distractions and nerves of the wedding day. Those vow clips became the emotional backbone of their wedding video, and I’ll be honest—I cried while editing. It reminded me why I do what I do.
Once the rain cleared on their wedding day, the party kicked into high gear. The dance floor at The Cannery stayed packed all night!
I also had the pleasure of working alongside Tom Harmon, a talented wedding photographer based in New Jersey who frequently travels back to CNY. His ability to capture emotion and movement made for a seamless collaboration, and it's always a pleasure teaming up with someone who cares so much about the couples we serve.
