Quynh and Alejandro’s engagement session at Delphi Falls, New York was brisk enough to remind you it was November in Central New York, but these two made the whole afternoon feel warm. They found me on Zola, and from the very first conversation we clicked. I loved hearing about their relationship, their wedding plans, and especially the story of how Alejandro proposed in Japan. Quynh’s immediate reaction — “Seriously?” — cracked me up and set the tone for a session that was genuine, easygoing, and full of personality.

Working with them was effortless. Their connection shows in every frame, and photographing them felt like hanging out with two people who were just completely themselves. They’re getting married next year at the downtown Syracuse Marriott, and after spending the afternoon with them, I’m even more excited for their wedding day. It’s going to fit them perfectly.

Delphi Falls is one of the best engagement photography locations in Central New York, hands down. The lower falls are an iconic backdrop and easily one of my favorite spots for engagement photos. In the fall, it always pays to arrive a little early because the sun disappears fast and the surrounding trees block the light quickly. Even so, we timed everything right and ended up with a ton of great images. The entire area around Delphi Falls offers endless options — trails, textured stone, running water, open space — everything you want for a natural, scenic engagement session in Upstate New York.

For a November shoot, it was chilly, but Quynh and Alejandro kept things warm just by being who they are together. That natural comfort and chemistry is exactly what makes engagement photography fun, and exactly why I love photographing couples all over Syracuse, CNY, and the surrounding areas.

Congratulations to Quynh and Alejandro. And if you’re looking for Central New York engagement photography or wedding photography, feel free to reach out — let’s chat!
