Jamie & Stephen’s Beautiful Wedding at the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton, New York

Jamie and Stephen are one of those couples who radiate kindness and joy from the moment you meet them. Though they currently live in the Lexington, Massachusetts area, they chose to celebrate their destination wedding in the Thousand Islands — a place filled with natural beauty and historic charm. Their wedding day took place at the stunning Antique Boat Museum in Clayton, New York, a venue that perfectly blends elegance, history, and the unmatched scenery of the Thousand Islands.

One of the most special touches of their day was that Jamie’s close friend, Stephanie, who works at the Antique Boat Museum, officiated their ceremony. The fact that someone so close to them could lead their vows made the entire experience deeply personal and touching. The ceremony took place on the museum’s porch overlooking the water — a picture-perfect setting on a flawless summer day.

We’ve had the pleasure of capturing weddings at the Antique Boat Museum before, and every time we’re reminded just how incredible this venue is. The staff always does a fantastic job, and Jamie and Stephen’s wedding was no exception. The energy, emotion, and atmosphere were everything you’d hope for on a wedding day in the Thousand Islands.

After their heartfelt ceremony, we captured portraits along the dock and aboard the Miss Thousand Island boat — one of the most iconic photo locations in Clayton, NY. The golden sunlight reflecting off the water created a dreamy backdrop, and the smiles between Jamie and Stephen said it all.

Guests then made their way to the dinner tent, where an amazing first dance and a series of touching toasts set the tone for the rest of the evening. The dance floor came alive as soon as the music started, thanks to Select Receptions DJs, John and Adina, who kept the energy high and the dance floor packed all night long.

For their video, we were able to capture a ton of great dancing footage — this crowd had spirit, heart, and energy to spare. As the sun dipped below the horizon and the warm light faded over the St. Lawrence River, I was reminded once again why I love what I do. Capturing a couple’s once-in-a-lifetime celebration in such a beautiful location is a privilege every single time.

Working as a wedding photographer and videographer in the Thousand Islands, especially at venues like the Antique Boat Museum, is always rewarding. The views are breathtaking, the people are genuine, and every wedding tells its own unique story. Whether in Clayton, Syracuse, or anywhere in Upstate New York, this region continues to inspire me as a Thousand Islands wedding photographer and videographer.

Jamie and Stephen’s day was an absolute joy to capture — heartfelt, elegant, and filled with laughter from start to finish. Congratulations again to this amazing couple!

And a quick shoutout to the talented Chelsea Waltz, who we had the pleasure of working alongside for this beautiful day.
